JTEKT Corporation (Headquarters: Kariya City, Aichi Prefecture, President and CEO: Yoshihito Kondo, hereinafter referred to as "JTEKT") and the Latin America subsidiary of JTEKT, in the cooperation with National Police of Colombia and National Directorate of Taxes and Customs （DIAN）, successfully cracked down on a large number of counterfeit bearings in Colombia.

Counterfeit bearings on the market not only affect the business performance and brand of bearing manufacturers and distributors but also pose a major risk to safety of customers who purchase and use them. Number of items seized: Over 100,000 items (bearings) Seized items are under the procedure to properly dispose so they cannot be sold on the market. The success of this crackdown is one of the major achievements of the anti-counterfeiting activities in Latin America.
